The E family photo shoot

As I mentioned before I love to take pictures, I always have. Up until this last year I have only had the fortune of taking pictures of my family. I am so excited to say that I have recently had the privilege of taking pictures for other families. This is the E family and they were one of the first families that asked me to take pictures for them. I will have to say that they were one of the very best families I could have ever started with, Thank You!

These girls were too adorable!

Holiday Cards

Christmas time is now over and I am sure by now most of you have taken down all of your decorations. One of my favorite things to get during the holidays are Christmas cards with pictures, I love them! However, I have always been known to not keep them, I never new what to do with all of them. After talking to lots of friends I realized I was not the only one. I came across this idea and I love it!! I will be doing this from now on, so cute!
All you need is a shower curtain ring, cute paper to right the year on it and a hole punch. Punch a hole in the upper left hand corner and run the ring through and you are done. You can put them out year after year.

This was found on www.persnicketypeacock.blogspot.com/2009/12/holiday-cards.html

Birthday Parties

One of my favorite things to do is plan a kids birthday party. You can get so creative and there are so many great tips and ideas out there to use. I have done pirate parties, princess/knight parties, science parties even a circus( at my house!) It is actually rubbing off on my kids because they like to plan their parties forever in advance. My 3 year old has been planning her fourth birthday ( in May) since October. Anyways, the last party I threw last October for my son Cole when he turned 7. We decided on a Harry Potter party since he has been into that movie for awhile and mom loves it!! I won't lie, it was a lot of planning and a lot of work setting up all the props but it was well worth it to us. I had lots of help also from my two nieces who helped with the decorations, thanks.
My favorite part may have been the brick wall hanging on the front door that the kids ran through to get into the house. We had a potions class where the kids made lots of potions , one was even drinkable. After that we went outside for magical creatures. Here the kids were able to learn about all kinds of animals and they were aloud to hold all of them. They really liked this part.

After all of the classes they went to the great hall ( back patio) for pizza and cake. Hagrid brought Cole his birthday cake just like on Harry Potter 1. I made the cake and I have to say it turned out pretty cute!

I found almost all of my ideas on http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/ and I found the bottle labels at www.flickr.com/photos/lovemanor

Hello

My name is Jessica Kornele, mother of two and wife to an amazing man. I have a huge passion for creativeness. I am not the most creative person but I am inspired by so many blogs online to learn to do so many everyday things so much better. I love decorating or styling homes like picking out paint, furniture and assesories. But I love doing everything on the cheap, it is more challenging. I get excited when I find a new project I can do with my kids or make for a teacher or friend. But my all time favorite thing to do is take pictures. I have always loved to take pictures and once my kids were born I was taking lots. In the last year I have been very blessed and starting taking pictures for some friends of mine. It is so amazing when you get such a great response from doing something you love. So that is what this blog will be all about! I will be posting about home ideas and deals I find, fun crafts or ideas to do with your kids and posting pictures that I have been taking. I hope you have fun and I hope visit often! Please let me know what you think.
